YOLO Last Minute Post-Fringe Birthday Trip to Bali

My dutch friends Bas, Birgit, and Jeroen were going to Bali for two weeks after their work finished at Fringe World. With a long weekend in Perth for WA day I decided to YOLO and book last minute tickets and join them for four nights and it was bliss!!

Eye mask was essential so I could sleep in till 10am (this was when I was allowed to speak to Bas)
Reggae Bar - Band from Jakarta. They played Katchafire between sets!

The view from our bungalow - bliss!!

True that.

These old women carried our scuba tanks for us! Strong women.

Bas looking very relaxed with his morning watermelon juice.

Birgit was SO fancy. Champagne and king prawns bliss.

Cocktails by the pool; of the fancier hotel across the road.

The afternoon storm rolling in.

Enjoying pool side bliss while I could..before the rain came.

The night we went to the five star hotel for dinner and went ALL out.

We had ALL of the food.

Snap chat whilst I was in Bali of four of my gay friends coincidentally  all hanging out at Connections (gay bar) without me!

Wise words of advice from Bali.

Jeroen and Birgit so in love...

Cute.

The most delicious wasabi crusted tuna steak.

More wise advice.

NZ Breakers vs. Perth Wildcats

So this happened.

It was a Sunday afternoon match in the midst of Fringe World chaos.

My mate Wild Cat, Greg Hire (silent disco DJ) was on the court.

I was emotionally torn as I attended with some very good friends who were season pass holders and Wild Cats biggest fans. But the Wild Cats were playing New Zealand, so I couldn't help but cheer when NZ scored, although I tried to keep my response to non verbal so as not to upset my companions.

The game was so close and went into DOUBLE overtime. So intense. No one could be prepared for what happened in the last few seconds. You can see it here, if the video below doesn't load.

The whole crowd came to an absolute stand still. The cheering completely stopped, and it was just complete shock. No one knew what had hit them.

The one Wild Cats game I got to this season. Would definitely attend again. Also nice to finally see what the inside of Perth Arena looks like as the outside it quite the eye catcher.
